TaipanXP Product Used: 3” Exhaust, Oil to Air Separator & Dawes valve
Purchased Through/ Fitted By: Taipan at Burleigh Heads
Date Fitted: November 23 2011
Right from the first phone call, the service and advice were great. That made the decision for me as I felt I was dealing with someone who knew what they were talking about. On installation day, everything that was to be done was detailed and transfer back to our accommodation provided. On pick up, transfer again provided, took the vehicle for a test drive with Mark and was most impressed. Drove home with the camper on the back and was pleasantly surprised with the extra power and the way I need to use less throttle to get there. The workmanship is to be applauded. I am completely satisfied and would be happy to recommend TaipanXP to anyone considering an upgrade. I had already had a steinbauer chip installed and this was setup properly by Taipan.
Thanks for the great service.

Model: Prado
Purchased Through/ Fitted By: United Fuel Injection, WA
Date Fitted: January 2011
I recently had the Taipan XP system fitted to my Prado D4D and couldn’t be happier. The fit and finish is spot on, and it certainly improves the overall performance of the engine. A huge noticeably difference when towing our caravan on the open road and yet the fuel economy hasn’t suffered at all. It has complimented my engine management chip perfectly and not only does the “on-road” results feel great, I have a Dyno tune chart that proves the power and torque have increased. Great system.

Make: Toyota
Model: 100 Series Landcruiser Factory Turbo Diesel
Purchased Through/ Fitted By: TaipanXP Burleigh Heads
Date Fitted: September 2006
I had the TaipanXP Mild Steel System & DP Chip fitted at the TaipanXP Headquarters in September 2006. The reason I was interested in the upgrade was to improve fuel economy and to get the vehicle running smoother. The vehicle has picked up economy and drivability and along with a huge improvement in power. This has been achieved by running the Chip on setting 5 in conjunction with the Exhaust, KN Air Filter, Snorkel & Boost. I have found both the products and the service both before and afterwards to be of high quality.

Model: Navara D22 3L
Purchased off/ fitted by: 4DT Bundaberg
Date Fitted: March 2011

Just wanted to say thanks to you and your team fitted a Taipan exhaust to my Navara D22, we drove down from Rockhampton a few weeks ago (myself & young daughter). WOW didn’t think the exhaust would make that much difference but it has, heaps more power & better fuel economy.
I have recommended you to everyone that has been asking about the system, must say - dragged a 4.2lt Nissan Ute & kicked the poor young blokes ass, man he wasn't happy about being beaten by a Navara.

P.S The second picture is not me bogged (LOL) I'm the second car that pulled out the bogged vehicle, and yes the exhaust system is still performing VERY well & am a very happy customer.
Thanks again

I tow a 6m Kedron ATV van with a 2011 Land Cruiser 76 Series Station Wagon and our tripsare generally long distance with at least one trip per year of more than 5000km. The gross combination weight of the rig is just on 6.2 tonne.
Whilst the Land Cruiser managed this load comfortably with a reasonable fuel return (17 - 18 L/100km), due to the wide gear ratios in the LC's 5 speed transmission I wanted a bit more flexibility particularly in 4th and 5th gears. To this end I did some research on this matter and chose to have a Taipan XP 3" stainless steel exhaust system, Taipan fuel management system and a K & N air filter element fitted at Taipan's facility on the GoldCoast.
On returning to Brisbane following the work, the first thing I became aware of was a noticeable improvement in acceleration in 4th and 5th gears particularly from 1500rpm onwards. I then hooked up the Kedron and returned to my home in the Southern Highlands of NSW via Cunninghams Gap and the New England Highway, a trip of some 1100km including city, mountain, coastal and freeway driving.
What became noticeable early in the trip and remained so was the improvement in 4th and 5th gear torque to the point where, in my opinion, the difference equated to about one gear on many of the long climbs on the New England Highway. I can state with certainty that the southern climbs out of the Mooney Mooney Bridge (near Gosford NSW) and the Hawkesbury River Bridge (north of Sydney) were both achieved in 5th gear when on prior trips 4th gear had been required about 2/3rds of the way up both of these climbs.
As to fuel consumption I could not do a direct comparison between the trip to Brisbane (unmodified) and the trip back as different roads were used and I don't believe I have travelled sufficient kilometres since the modifications (approx 1300km) to make a definitive statement in this regard. Early indications are that fuel consumption has improved by between 0.3 to 0.4 L/100km on local "hack" running.
And of course then there is the added pleasure of listening to that nice V8 rumble out the back. That is definitely a plus.
Whilst the Land Cruiser was a good tow vehicle off the floor, this modification, in my opinion, has made it just that much better again I am completely satisfied with the result and the service and advice provided by the staff at Taipan XP.
