EFI Turbo Upgrades

3L ZD30 Patrol (up to 2007) & D22 3L Navara

The main kit includes:

Customised Garret water cooled ball bearing hybrid turbo matched to the specific engine.

Braided Oil and coolant lines.

Basic Ducting, adaptors, fittings, studs, nuts and bolts to allow for the fit up.

This turbo conversion completely does away with the variable geometry turbo charger, eliminating the major problem with the veins seizing and over boosting. The turbo hardware kit has a 12 month, 20,000km warranty.

Power Output:

The ZD30 conversion yields approx 15-20% more power with standard tuning and boost. Tuning is limited without ad-ons such as exhaust system, tuning module & intercooler upgrade.

Up to 60% more power with appropriate options is achievable, however we would tune this engine limited to max power output to of 30% to maintain reliability and longevity of engine.

For existing TaipanXP Customers that already have our exhaust system fitted, we will have a dump pipe made to suit this conversion.

This upgrade has the potential to deliver the most impressive power up opportunities, power is only limited to the tuning ability.

This upgrade is also suitable for those who have had a factory turbo failure and are looking for a more reliable option.

The turbo upgrade includes:

All the electronics to replace the factory boost controlled solenoid, which has been known to fail at the worst of times.

The turbo charger upgrade bolts directly in place of the original unit, with all coolant and lubrication adaptors supplied.

Power Output:

Approximately 20% increase in power, in a standard vehicle configuration.

Approximately 40% increase when combined with an exhaust and tuning option.

Tuning Options:

Rail Pressure ECU $1500

Full Replacement ECU $1800 – This tuning option includes installation & extensive checking and adjustments of the engines tune, this is to ensure reliability.

Note:

We need the turbo first as we need the stepper motor so we can attach it to the new turbo, as it operates the boost (it talks to the electronics on the vehicle).

This turbo can support up to 220 rear wheel kw’s which is a massive 80% increase over standard, however for reliability our retail customer will see around 40%.

This system will also be compatible for customers with existing TaipanXP exhaust systems.
